Thanks!

I think the DLL was the problem... at least 'mpd -h' now works.

I'll try it out tomorrow.

Hi,
I had not meet this kind of problem.
I downloaded the 0.5.3 beta version ,and input some DOS commands on the command prompt to change the working directory to the directory where the bin folder lies ,then I typed the mpd command to have a try,but to my surprise I got a error message ,which said it could not start the application because of the absence of msvcr71d.dll,and it would be ok after reinstalling the application .After I downloaded msvcr71d.dll on the website ,it worked fine .
Hope this will help!
regards!

Thanks for the quick reply.

There were no messages at all. The execution was very brief (1-2 seconds), then back to the command prompt without any errors or file modifications.

After I had the problem, I reinstalled the 0.5.3 beta, so it should be the latest version.

I may try a linux distribution of MPTK under cygwin or VMware/Ubuntu on my WindowsXP machine next. That should work.

Hi,
You can download MPTK-Windows-bin-0-5-3-beta on the Release Files section to have another try.
Did you have any error or stop messages when you executed mpd ?

regards

Hi,

A strange problem... mpd executes with no messages and no results. Even "mpd -h" gives no output. Other routines such as "mpr -h" give the expected result.

I investigated the permissions of the executable files, they seem to be fine. At least there is no permission difference between the files that provide output and those that do not.

Thanks for any help.

regards,
Russ
