Dear M Sturm, You're right, all the binary disctributions of 0.5.8 are compiled using my computer which is a 32 bits and Matlab 32 bits. You did the right thing compiling using the sources. From now i will try to describe better the compilation versions of the newest versions. Ronan Le Boulch

The matlab utilities that come with the binary distribution of 0.5.8 are not the correct ones for my system (OS X, 64 bit matlab, specifically 7.10.0.499 (R2010a)). So I have downloaded the MPTK source and compiled MPTK and the matlab mexfiles with the 64-bit architecture.
