The 73% completion is a harmless bug. Some of the targets have been scheduled twice in the build script. They are not compiled the second time, since they are already there, hence the 27% unaccomplished tasks.

This bug will be corrected in the next version. An engineer has been recruited to take care of MPTK. He starts in June, and the 0.5.7 release should follow soon.

Chris, is your library search path configured correctly? It needs to contain the path to libmptk.so for the system to find it. You can extend the path with the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable.

It's actually a good question. Well, my build finishes at 73% as well, but all the targets seem to be built. There are some additional build options, like BUILD_GUI, BUILD_EXPERIMENTAL..., so maybe if you enable them all, then you get 100%?? just guessing...
Anyway, the main problem is "make install", which doesn't work for me, but read the other thread:

If you are getting really frustrated, try switching to 0.5.5 version, as for me even the "make install" worked perfectly.

Just wondering if it was normal that when make is done and returns me to the command line, it only shows 73% completion.

I actually have a problem when running any mptk apps (e.g. mpd) saying that it cannot find libmptk.so, although it clearly exists in the lib directory. Just wondering if this problem is due to an improper install (73% completion in make) ?
